Pike Brothers - Shirt '1923 Buccanoy Shirt Iwaki Gray'

€120,00

This Buccanoy Shirt from 1923 is a must for formal occasions. The historic example of the Buccanoy series from 1923 has its origins in the 1920s. A long tradition: shirts with a striped collar have been used in men's fashion since the mid-19th century.
But why? It has always been a difficult task to clean and starch white shirts, so they thought of putting buttons on men's shirts to easily add and remove collars. Band collar shirts were used until the 1940s until they were replaced by collared shirts.

As with the original design, you can attach a stand-up collar to this 1923 Buccanoy Shirt.

Pike Brothers clothing is more than the sum of fabric, patterns and accessories. They have a story to tell, the story of who they are and where they come from.
